Snacking is one of the simple pleasures in life. Healthy treats like these are great alternatives to the more conventional snacks.
Apples and Cheese
Pair up a slice of your favorite apple with a slice of cheese. Eat them as you would crackers and cheese. The sharper the cheese the better the combination. (top)
Banana Popsicle
Peel 1 banana cut it in half and thread each piece onto its own skewer. Dip the banana in a tasty flavored yogurt, roll in your choice of shredded coconut, nuts, chocolate shavings, and raisin – just about anything your heart desires. Banana Smoothie
Peel, break into chunks and freeze very ripe bananas in a sealed plastic bag. When looking for a snack, toss the desired amount of banana into a blender with a small amount of juice. Whirl. Add berries if you like or perhaps some nuts. (top)
